Purpose-Built for Real-World Science

Langel Labs is the flagship initiative of Lanmer Hardware Venture Studio, created to advance hardware and biotechnology development through applied research and commercialization support.
Located in Estonia, the Lab provides modern R&D infrastructure, analytical capabilities, and access to expert collaboration for startups, research institutions, and industrial partners.

Named in recognition of Estonia’s scientific heritage — including researchers from the Langel family, whose pioneering work in molecular delivery and neuropeptide research shaped modern biotechnology — the Lab continues that tradition by enabling high-impact, applied innovation.

Key Features:

Integrated molecular biology, nanomaterial, and analytical laboratories designed for experimental flexibility and precision.
Capabilities: molecular assays, materials testing, prototype verification, and performance evaluation.

Langel Labs is being developed in planned phases to ensure scalability and sustainability.
Phase I covers analytical and molecular infrastructure; subsequent stages will expand to pilot-scale production and cross-disciplinary testing.

Built around Estonia’s green innovation and circular economy principles, the Lab prioritizes efficient energy use, sustainable sourcing, and minimal waste generation.

Langel Labs strengthens Estonia’s role in the Baltic-Nordic innovation network, providing a shared platform for applied research, training, and technology validation.

Capabilities include gene expression profiling, molecular diagnostics, and cell-based assay development for drug discovery, diagnostics, and biomaterial testing.

Development and analysis of nanoparticles, coatings, and delivery systems, including particle-size, charge, and surface characterization.

Accreditation-ready facilities for biospecimen analysis, translational studies, and performance testing under controlled laboratory conditions.

Through Lanmer Hardware Venture Studio, projects gain access to expertise in process optimization, manufacturing readiness, and regulatory alignment — bridging research and commercialization efficiently.

Collaboration & Service Access

Langel Labs operates as both a collaborative research center and a contract service laboratory. Engagement Options:

  • Collaborative R&D – Joint projects with academic, clinical, or industrial partners focusing on applied science and technology validation.

  • Laboratory Services – Commercial access to testing and analytical capabilities in molecular biology, cell-based assays, nanoformulation, and biomanufacturing support.

Accredited laboratory services will be available following certification in 2026. This open-access model ensures external partners can use advanced infrastructure while meeting the documentation and traceability requirements of regulated sectors.
